Mountain biker lands first ever triple flip

When it comes to pushing the limits, the brave - and some would say mad - members of Travis Pastrana's Nitro Circus are the masters.

And in true style, teenage stunt rider Gavin Godfrey has broken new ground to become the first mountain bike rider to land a triple flip.

Shooting footage for Pastrana's upcoming movie, Action Figures, the 19-year-old launched himself off a dirt ramp in the US on the weekend to pull off the coveted and highly risky move.

As the footage shows, fearless Godfrey drops down a 4m-plus ramp, before hitting the 3m-high dirt jump and flipping perfectly end over end and into extreme sports immortality.

Of course, it wasn't first time perfect.

Godfrey, who is a member of the fabled Godfrey Clan of extreme sports athletes, took plenty of spills, alongside brother Ethen Roberts, before both landed the epic jump.
