Is this golf’s worst putt ever?
South African golfer Ernie Els has not lived up to his ‘Big Easy’ nickname with one of the worst missed putts of all time.
The four-time major winner was lining up a tap in from within a foot of the hole during the Dunhill Links Championships when things went horribly awry.
Footage from Carnoustie shows Els’ right wrist twitch as he makes contact, with the ball completely missing the hole to the right as a result.

Els, who has battled the yips in recent years, finished with a level par round of 72 but it’s the shocking missed putt that will live longest in the memory.
