A second hole-in-one of the season has helped Canada's Brooke Henderson to open up a two-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

Henderson holed her tee shot on the 142-yard second hole at Qizhong Garden Golf Club and followed a bogey at the next with seven birdies to card a second round of 64 and finish 11 under par.

American Jessica Korda is her nearest challenger on nine under, with compatriot Danielle Kang a shot further back, while England's Georgia Hall is seven shots off the lead after firing a 69.

Minjee Lee fired a three-under round on Friday, but remained well back in the field in equal 24th.

Katherine Kirk had a two-over second to drop to tied 35th at one over.

Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Mel Reid slipped eight shots off the pace after second rounds of 72, while Solheim Cup star Bronte Law - who also shot 69 on Thursday - was forced to withdraw from the event due to illness.
