Golf: Norman wins rematch with chainsaw

Once bitten, twice shy just doesn’t seem to apply to 'The Great White Shark'.

Former world No.1 golfer Greg Norman has shown nerves of steel to pick up a chainsaw again following the devastation to his Florida property from Hurricane Matthew.

In an eerily similar incident, the two-time British Open winner nearly lost his left hand in a gruesome accident with the power tool in 2014.

The Australian was trimming trees at his property when a branch pulled his arm onto the blade, which missed his artery by mere millimetres.

But when Hurricane Matthew hit the east coast of the US, Norman was quick to react, clearing his property of fallen trees and debris after the storm had passed.

And that meant another date with tree-dicing, arm-slicing machine.

However, the 61-year-old didn’t seem to show any hesitation in using the chainsaw, even taking time out to grab some snaps with the tool slung dangerously over his shoulder.

But like any good golfer, Norman clearly learnt from his mistakes and survived the clean up without incident.
