Greg Norman almost severs own hand

Australian golf great Greg Norman has almost cut off his own hand in a horror accident while working with a chainsaw.

Norman posted a photo online this morning, showing himself in hospital with his left hand heavily bandaged.A warning accompanied the image, with the 59-year-old indicating he'd gone close to losing his hand.“Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand,” Norman wrote.While details of his accident are not yet known, it is believed he may have been working on one of his properties in Florida.Norman posted a photo (below) of himself working with a chainsaw, last week.

It isn't known how extensive the damage is to his hand and whether he will be able to play golf again.
