Golfer hits one of world's worst tee shots

An amateur golfer has provided the best example of how not to swing a club after he hit himself in the head with the ball at a driving range.

In recently released footage, the man, holding what looks like a fairway wood or driver, readies himself in a posture that would make even a Sunday hack’s eyes widen in disbelief before throwing his arms at the ball.

The gangly shot slices underneath the teed-up ball and re-directs the projectile away from its intended target and back towards the golfer, whose violent swing has spun him in an almost 180 degree rotation.

The ball subsequently crashes into the golfer’s head, dropping him to his knees and clutching the area around his right ear as onlookers laugh at possible one of the world’s worst golf shots.
