Golf pro takes long approach with trick putt

A professional golfer has taken an extremely long route to find the bottom of the cup after using her imagination and a giant slope to hole a stunning trick putt.

LPGA golfer Anna Nordqvist made the simple look absurdly difficult when she approached a barely two metre putt at a pro-am for the Yokohama Tire Classic.

Standing past the hole, the 28-year-old Swede fires the ball past the cup and up a giant slope that runs through the middle of the green.

Reaching the crest of the hill, the putt, judged to perfection for speed and distance, then rolls back down the green and into the cup.

The five-time LPGA winner celebrates with the amazing putt confirming her belief that "not all roads to success are straight".

However, it's doubtful if the major winner will forgo a conventional putt during the heat of battle anytime soon.
