Greg Norman announces his return to professional golf in bizarre video
Golf legend Greg Norman has announced his return to competitive golf with a bizarre post on social media.
The video shows Norman walking alongside his son Greg Norman Jr when the - totally unscripted - suggestion is made that he should start playing golf again, at which point a corny montage of the pair working out together and hitting the links is played to a guitar-heavy backing track.
For the two-time British Open champion who is very comfortable sharing social media posts of himself shirtless in the great outdoors, or pumping weights in the gym, his latest contribution to Instagram is surprisingly not the most cringeworthy thing we've seen from the golf great.
Norman, 62, will come out of a retirement for a one-off professional appearance with Greg Jr at the PNC Father-Son Challenge, starting on December 13 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.
It's been a long time in between tee shots for Norman, who last played a tournament in 2012 at the Senior British Open. He missed the cut at that event, and hasn't really reached the heights of his earlier years, instead spending most of his time these days focusing on his numerous business ventures and philanthropy.
