Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson claims to drive golf ball 490 yards

Is there anything Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson can’t do?

The highest earning movie star in Hollywood posted a picture to his Instagram account of him driving a golf ball while shooting for his HBO show ‘Ballers’.

According to Johnson he smacked the ball a whopping 490 yards, which would be one hell of an effort.

Johnson’s drive, if true, would be just 25 yards short of the Guinness World Record of 515 yards hit by Mike Austin at the 1974 National Seniors Open Championship.

But with no video, the Hollywood star might have a hard time in convincing golf purists about the validity of his claims.

‘The Rock’ gave a shout out to pro golfer Jordan Spieth who apparently helped him out with the golfing ‘gear’. Clearly Spieth gave him a few swing tips too, if the big fella was ever a hope of hitting the ball that long.

Somehow, though, we doubt the veracity of his claim.

The former pro wrestler played college football and also had a stint in the Canadian Football League before turning his attention to the big screen.
