Amateur golfer destroys friend's golden moment

An amateur golfer may have just ended a life-long friendship after booting away his playing partner's putt at a milestone moment.

In a video which will have weekend hackers scarred by near-misses tearing up in sympathy, a man lines up a long bomb for his first ever eagle.

With a brush of his wand, the man has the near 15-metre putt on a perfect line and destined for the bottom of the cup.

But at the last moment, the man's playing partner, who has been filming the putt, inexplicably kicks the ball off the green.

The last thing caught on the film is the horrified putter running at his friend, screaming in anguish.

There have been no reports of golf-related violence.
