Goalkeeper makes wrong call

Heads up boys!

A goalkeeper from Uruguay decided to go above and beyond his duties … and he paid for it.

In the game between Junior and Jaguares, Uruguay goalkeeper Junior of Baranquilla, thought he’d play super hero when a high ball came his way.

The ball had a lot of hang time on it, which not only confused the keeper but his team mate Sebastien Viera.

The team mates had no idea that they were on a collision course. As the ball fell from the air, both players tried to attack the ball – and it didn’t end well.

Baranquilla and Viera clashed heads with the goalkeeper rushed to hospital with a head injury.

It was feared the goalie’s injury was serious but the doctors’ put his mind at ease, saying there was no fracture.

Note to goalkeeper: Stay in goals!
