'It would mean the world': George Kambosos Jr aiming to bring title fight to Australia
Newly-crowned lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr says he wants his next fight to be back home in Australia, and he's already named the opponent he'd like.
Kambosos stunned the boxing world on Sunday with an incredible performance against the previously undefeated Teofimo Lopez at Madison Square Garden resulting in a split decision win.
Having claimed the WBA, IBF and WBO belts off Lopez, the 28-year-old Sydneysider is eyeing a fight with the man who holds the only belt currently not in his possession: WBC lightweight champ Devin Haney.

"I want to come back home and fill out a stadium," Kambosos told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"All those belts, 80,000 people, in Sydney or Melbourne. That's the next step now.
"I'm coming back with all the marbles and we'll fill out a big stadium. It would mean the world.

"The crazy thing is, we manifested this. We were close to getting this fight in Sydney, but COVID stuffed that around.
"Now they have no chance. I said I'd come back when I got everything and I went out and did it.

"Whatever I put my head to, I've kept that tunnel vision, dreamed about it and made it happen.
"I'm coming back with all the marbles and we'll fill out a big stadium. It would mean the world."
The 23-year-old Haney is one of the biggest names in the sport, and currently holds a 26-0 record with 15 KOs.
Haney will defend his lightweight title when he faces fellow American Joseph Diaz this weekend in Nevada.
