'It's broke. It's broke. It's broke.' The moment Carr knew all was lost
‘’It’s broke. It’s broke. It’s broke. ’It’s broke. It’s broke. It’s broke.’’
With those 12 words, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr showed just how fickle professional sport can be, and also how tough sportspeople are.
In this recently released footage, Carr can be seen (and heard) shouting to the sidelines after taking a quick look at his leg after being dragged to the ground by a defender.
This turned out to be the last play of Derek Carr's NFL season.
While no-one wishes such an injury on anyone, the fact Carr was mic’d up for the match gives a great insight into how he reacted to the season-ending injury.
His immediate shock was followed by a quick pep-talk to his teammates.
Talk about being a real team man.
Carr underwent an operation to have the fracture repaired shortly after and is expected to be ready for action next season.
What makes things worse for Carr is that his team was enjoying a great season, and the young tar was in the running for the league’s MVP award.
