Footballer suffers horror arm break

The toughness of footballers in any contact code can never be underestimated.

And US college player Jared Cornelius clearly has it in spades after suffering a horror broken arm and then jogging off the field almost as if nothing was wrong during a recent gridiron match.

The Arkansas wide receiver was nailed in a legs tackle as he burst down the right touchline toward the touch down zone during a clash with Texas Tech when he landed heavily on his outstretched left arm.

Showing no sign of injury after what looked to be an awkward crash to the turf, Cornelius immediately jumped to his feet and jogged across the field following the third down play.

But when the close up replay zoomed in on the youngster, it was clear he had done some serious damage with his forearm badly broken and appearing as though he had a second elbow.

Cornelius was immediately given first aid by team officials before being taken to hospital and now faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

Now that's one tough hombre.
