Wigan upset 'unbelievable': Aussie Elder

Australian defender Callum Elder has described as "unbelievable" his Wigan Athletic's shock FA Cup win over giants Manchester City.

The 23-year-old was crucial in withstanding a barrage of attacks from the Premier League's runaway leaders that allowed the hosts to pull off a stunning 1-0 win on Tuesday (AEDT).

Elder picked up a yellow card for a late tackle on Portuguese midfielder Bernando Silva shortly before teammate Will Grigg found the net in the 79th minute.

"Can't describe that feeling tonight," the left back tweeted.

"Unbelievable."

Wigan, who beat City in the 2013 FA Cup final, now progress to the quarter-finals.
