Whiz kid is a football 'Rain Man'

Pint-sized football fanatic Harley Adams has shown off his amazing memory, with the six-year-old able to name any player in the English Premier League from their shirt number.

Like a sport's version of "Rain Man", Harley has an encyclopedic mind when it comes to the EPL – thanks to his obsession with Match Attax football cards.

Harley's father, Dean Hughes, recently put the youngster to the test, quizzing him on dozens of players by nominating a club and shirt number.

And the young Tottenham Hotspur fan didn't miss a beat, even with players who have changed club and number mid-season.

Mr Hughes admits he's stunned by Harley's amazing memory, which he describes as "ridiculous".

"He knows the numbers for players I've never even heard of," Mr Hughes said. "We buy him the Match Attax cards and he goes over every detail until he knows them all.

"He knows basically every person in every squad in the league. He can tell you their numbers if they've changed clubs mid-season. It's ridiculous.

"It started out with Spurs players and the big clubs, but he can tell you everyone now even if they play for Bournemouth or Crystal Palace."
