West Ham were fined STG71,000 ($A138,000) by football's ruling body FIFA for a rules breach concerning Diafra Sakho but avoided an FA Cup ban.
Sakho played for West Ham against Bristol City in the FA Cup, 18 days after pulling out of Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations squad through injury.
Fifa rules state that no player can play for his club side when he should have been on international duty.
