US to play Matildas ahead of World Cup

The Matildas will play the US women's team as part of the world champions' preparations for next year's World Cup.
The US have finalised their plans for a 10-game "Countdown to the Cup" tour in advance of the 2019 tournament in France.
The world No.1 team will visit Europe to start the new year, playing France and Spain, before playing eight matches in the US.

Their home fixtures include Australia, Japan, England, Brazil, Belgium and South Africa, who have qualified for the World Cup for the first time.
The US and the Matildas will learn their opponents for the World Cup group stage when the draw is held in Paris on Sunday.
