UEFA to publish top officials' pay deals

European soccer's governing body UEFA says it will publish details of its top officials' pay for the first time.

The executive committee decided on Saturday to create a three-member compensation panel to "oversee matters linked to remuneration" of senior management, including the president and general secretary.

UEFA says "detailed information will be disclosed" in the annual accounts published in March.

Both top posts are formally vacant after outgoing president Michel Platini was banned by FIFA and former general secretary Gianni Infantino was elected in February as FIFA president. Infantino has no contract after rejecting a $US2 million ($A2.67 million) salary offer from FIFA's compensation panel.

UEFA never revealed Platini's salary.

Members will elect a new president on September 14.
