'He's just messed it up': Goalkeeping howler burns tortured glamour club
Paris Saint-Germain's tortured relationship with the Champions League has continued after the glamour club lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in a heavyweight clash in Germany on Wednesday (AEDT).
PSG goalkeeper Matvei Safonov - who again started ahead of Italy star Gianluigi Donnarumma - was at fault for Kim Min-jae's goal as his ineffective punch at a corner gave the big South Korea centre back a gift opportunity to find the back of the net with his head.
Ace PSG winger Ousmane Dembele was then sent off in the second half for his second yellow card to add to the French club's woes.

PSG - who have won just one of their five games in Europe - have never lifted the Champions League trophy despite spending astronomical sums on players over the last decade in particular.
"That's the goalkeeper's ball," Australia great Mark Bosnich said on Stan Sport while watching replays of Kim's goal.
"The goalkeeper's done the right thing, coming to punch it, but I'm not OK with the set up from the defensive perspective of PSG and the goalkeeper's taken his eye off it. You've got to watch the ball onto your hands."

Former Socceroos captain Craig Foster was equally perplexed.
"I mean he's got there, all he needs to do is put a decent punch on it. He's just messed it up."
Meanwhile, AC Milan followed up their win at Real Madrid with a 3-2 victory at last placed Slovan Bratislava.
Christian Pulisic put the seven time champions ahead midway through the first half by finishing off a counterattack.
Then Rafael Leao restored the advantage after Tigran Barseghyan had equalised for Bratislava and Tammy Abraham quickly added another.
Nino Marcelli scored with a long range strike in the 88th minute for Bratislava, who finished the game with 10 men.
Julian Alvarez and Angel Correa both scored twice as Atletico Madrid routed Sparta Prague 6-0.
Alvarez scored with a free kick 15 minutes in and Marcos Llorente added a long range strike before the break.
Alvarez finished off a counterattack early in the second half after being set up by substitute Antoine Griezmann, who then marked his 100th Champions League game by getting on the scoresheet himself.
Correa added a late brace to extend Atletico's winning streak across all competitions to six matches.
The top eight finishers in the standings advance directly to the round of 16 in March.
Teams ranked ninth to 24th go into a knockout playoffs round in February, while the bottom 12 teams are eliminated.
