'Unreal' blunder from $27m keeper costs PSG in crucial Champions League tie
A howler from Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has gifted Bayern Munich a crucial lead in a blockbuster UEFA Champions League knockout tie.
Bayern recorded a 1-0 away win in Paris after a 53rd-minute strike from former PSG forward Kingsley Coman snuck under Donnarumma's body.
PSG opted to start French star Kylian Mbappe on the bench, and the No.10's second-half cameo wasn't enough to rescue his side, after he had a pair of goals disallowed.

Donnarumma, Italy's Euro 2020 hero, was heavily criticised by former Australian No.1 Mark Bosnich for the crucial mistake.

"Very tall goalkeepers always have problems and balls around their body," he said on Stan Sport's coverage.
"If any outfield player is in goals there, they'd stop it with their feet. When it's around your body as a very tall keeper ... go with your feet. If in doubt, go with your feet.

"When you're paying for a top, top keeper, which is what they were supposed to be doing having gotten rid of Keylor Navas, that shouldn't happen.
"They should be coming off that park keeping a clean sheet."

"It's crazy," former Socceroo Craig Foster added.
"When a keeper comes out and gets done and a couple of players go back onto the line and there's a shot that gets cleared, that's a great example of if there was a player on the line he could've (just kicked the ball)."
Donnarumma arrived at PSG amid much fanfare on a contract which sees him earn over $27 million per year, but has not lived up to expectations thus far.
The Italian star was widely slammed on social media following his howler as well.
A third straight loss made it five defeats in 11 games this year for PSG coach Christophe Galtier's team.
The Paris-raised Coman, who PSG sold to Juventus when he was 18, held his hands up to show he wasn't celebrating scoring against his former club — again.
When Bayern won the last of its six Champions League titles in 2020, it beat PSG 1-0 with Coman heading home the winner.
The return leg is on March 8.
PSG was eliminated by Real Madrid in the last 16 last season.
