UEFA appoint inspector for racism probe

UEFA's disciplinary commission have appointed an inspector to investigate racist behaviour at Chelsea's Champions League clash in the Ukraine against Dynamo Kiev last week.

"The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided to appoint a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector to conduct an investigation with regard to the facts of the present proceedings," said a UEFA statement on Tuesday.

Following the Group G match that ended 0-0 in Kiev, UEFA charged Dynamo after a video emerged showing the club's fans attacking four black men in the stadium.

The incident was captured on camera by the organisation Football Against Racism in Europe.

Dynamo have also been charged over crowd disturbances and the blocking of stairways.

Dynamo were fined 15,000 ($A22,860) by European football's governing body earlier this year following their fans' racist behaviour during a Europa League match against Everton last season.
