Struggling giants AC Milan have edged visiting SPAL 1-0 to approach mid-table in the Italian Serie A at the end of matchday 10.
The Rossoneri, who had a single win, a draw and four losses in the previous six games, moved onto 13 points and trail on goal difference ninth-place Parma.
SPAL are second-last on seven.

Spanish winger Samuel Castillejo hit the bar from a few metres off for Milan's only chance in the first half and after the break saw the compatriot Suso take his place to drill home a free-kick on 63 minutes.
Guest keeper Etrit Berisha then denied Theo Hernandez and Lucas Paqueta as Milan controlled the remainder of the game.
The Devils are at home to fifth-place Lazio on Sunday while SPAL host tailenders Sampdoria the following day.
