Sydney FC head south in FFA Cup

Melbourne part-timers Avondale FC will host reigning champions Sydney FC in the quarter finals of the FFA Cup.

There will be at least one Victorian state league side in the last four after the draw was made on Wednesday night, with Bentleigh Greens drawn against Heidelberg United.

The matches will be played in the last fortnight of September.

Avondale FC v Sydney FC

APIA Leichhardt v Adelaide United

Melbourne City v Western Sydney

Bentleigh Greens v Heidelberg United.
