Superstar Ronaldo proves just how famous he is and it's hard to watch

Is there anything more insufferable than a celebrity drawing attention to their fame?

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has made a video to test just how popular he is, being filmed as passers-by ask to take selfies with him as he drinks a cup of tea in a café.

Of course, when you're as famous as he is, this happens a lot.

The video is clearly intended to show how much people like him, but has the effect of showing why they shouldn't. 

"You're supposed to be working, not taking photos," Ronaldo tells café staffers when they ask for a selfie.

The stunt was organized to help promote a range of headphones he endorses.
