One of Luis Suarez's infamous biting victims has been caught in a teeth gnashing scandal of his own after allegedly taking a chomp out of a Premier League rival.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic was captured tangling with Everton's James McCarthy in the second-half of the Blues' feisty 1-0 win.

Footage of the incident shows Ivanovic wrapping up McCarthy in a bear hug as the two sides clash when Everton's Gareth Barry is given his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

The Serbian international then leans in heavily with his head, leading to accusations the 30-year-old sunk his teeth into McCarthy's shoulder.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho found the allegations laughable.

"Did Branislav Ivanovic go in with his head? Don't make me laugh. Don't make me laugh," he told BT Sport.

Ivanovic was at the eye of the storm when he was infamously bitten by Suarez when Chelsea visited Liverpool in April 2013.

The former Reds striker was given a 10-match ban for the ugly incident.
