Star's aggressive ref shove goes unpunished

One of Chelsea’s biggest stars has somehow escaped on-field punishment for aggressively pushing the referee, despite manager Jose Mourinho’s claims from earlier in the season that there is a campaign against his team.

Cesc Fabregas can be seen in footage of Chelsea’s 3-2 win over Hull City charging to close down a Tigers player when referee Michael Oliver accidentally gets in his way.

The Spanish international blatantly pushes the official out of the way before the ball is moved on and the pair continue running.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder went unpunished for the violent shove with the referee assuming the contact was accidental.

He could face post-match sanctions after the FA reviews the footage. Mourinho was fined $48000 in January for alleging that the FA had a campaign against Chelsea following a match in December.
