Socceroos keeper Langerak out for months

Socceroos goalkeeper Mitch Langerak will be sidelined for up to two months following an operation to remove a cyst from his knee.

The former Melbourne Victory stopper was left out of Ange Posticoglou's squad for next week's World Cup qualifiers against Bangladesh in Perth on Thursday and Tajikstan on September 8 due to the problem.

With the 27-year-old yet to make an appearance for the Bundesliga club since his move from Borussia Dortmund a decision was taken to go under the knife.

Stuttgart, who have lost both Bundesliga games this season, expect Langerak to be available for selection in six to eight weeks.
