Socceroo Rogic still out for Celtic

Celtic and Socceroos midfielder Tom Rogic has been ruled out of the Hogmanay Old Firm game against Rangers at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow with an ankle injury.

Boss Brendan Rodgers had hoped the Australia international would have recovered after missing the past three matches but revealed he would not be back until after the winter break.

The 24-year-old Canberra product was considered a chance to return on New Year's Eve after missing Celtic's Wednesday night clash with Ross County, as he recovers from the injury sustained against Dundee on December 20.

Callum McGregor returns for Celtic from a one-game ban while long-term injured left-back Kieran Tierney remains out.
