Sanchez scores with rebound volley
Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez has proven a super buy for the Gunners this year - more than justifying his $A59 million signing from Barcelona.
And the 25-year-old was at it again during Arsenal's Champions League clash with Belgian side Anderlecht at Emirates Stadium, scoring a wonder goal from a free kick.
However, it wasn't the free kick itself that delivered the money shot, but a rebound volley.
Awarded a free kick just outside the Anderlech box, Sanchez stepped up to take a shot when his curling kick cannoned off the leaping defensive wall.
But while it appeared to be a lost opportunity, the Chilean wasted no time making up for it, showing superb reflexes and timing to cleanly volley the ball through the wall and into the bottom right side of the goal.
The strike took Sanchez's goal tally to 11 in 13 games and underlined why many observers consider him the hottest player in the EPL at the moment.
It also gave Arsenal a 2-0 lead, which they later extended to 3-0, before Anderlecht stormed back in the final 32 minutes; with three goal to level the match.
