Robot goalie no match for Messi

Lionel Messi has made a career out of bamboozling the world's best goalkeepers- regardless of their size and athletic prowess.

Now, he's shown even a giant robot shot-stopper is no match for his laser-like accuracy after wowing a Japanese game show with his skills.

Pitted against an inflatable, motorised keeper that dwarfed the goals, the Argentinean maestro put on a clinic as he timed and placed a series of shots to perfection to hit the target.

With the keeper flapping its arms up and down, Messi curled two shots into the bottom right and top left corners of the goal.

Then for good measure the Barcelona star nut-megged the shot-stopper for his third goal.

Of course it comes as no surprise that Messi would nail the challenge with the 28-year-old at his deadly best for the Spanish giants this year, scoring 40 goals in 46 games, including 25 in La Liga, to take Barcelona to the top of the table with two matches remaining.
