Robben extends Bayern Munich contract
Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has extended his contract at Bayern Munich by two years until 2017.
The 30-year-old came to the Bundesliga giants Munich in 2009 from Real Madrid and is one of the star players of Pep Guardiola's team.
He famously failed to convert a penalty in the 2012 Champions League final, which Munich lost at home against Chelsea, but scored the 89th-minute winner in the all-German final a year later against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.
"There can be no better indication of how happy my family and I feel to be here and how much I enjoy playing for this club and with this team," Robben said.
"I'm looking forward to the years ahead - and to plenty more trophies with FC Bayern."
Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "Arjen is a magnificent player. He's proved his worth to FC Bayern and not just in the Champions League Final at Wembley."
