A record 56 coaches were sacked in English soccer's top four divisions during the 2015-16 season, according to statistics released on Thursday by the League Managers' Association.
The total, until May 24, eclipses the previous high of 53 in 2001-02 and was nine more than last season.
Eleven of the dismissals were in the Premier League with Manchester United's Louis van Gaal on Monday being the most recent.
