Real signing comes to fan's aid

Real Madrid's $120 million signing James Rodriguez has come to the aid of a Colombian supporter that stormed the Bernabau pitch at his unveiling.

Video of the incident shows a man wearing a Colombian shirt invade the pitch and hug the World Cup Golden Boot as security charge towards the pair.

Instead of allowing the heavy-handed security to drag the man away, Rodriguez holds onto the Colombian fan as security drag him away.

The 23-year-old does not give in, eventually consoling the man and giving him a football before leading him back into the crowd.

Rodriguez is reportedly the fourth most expensive player of all time after his move from French club Monaco.

He won the Golden Boot as the World Cup's top scorer with six goals as Colombia reached the quarter-finals.
