Keane Lewis-Potter put the hosts ahead in the 44th minute, but his work came undone just minutes later when Yarmolyuk was given a red card.

During a fiery back-and-force with Liverpool’s Jérémy Jacquet inside the box, Yarmolyuk pushed his head forward and after a lengthy VAR review, was given his marching orders by on-field referee Anthony Taylor.
The incident turned the game on its head, with Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak scoring in the second half to put Liverpool ahead.
Brentford ended the match with nine men after Vitaly Janelt got a second yellow card for a foul on Liverpool substitute Rio Ngumoha.
Elsewhere, table-toppers Manchester City recorded a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ipswich Town, while Chelsea beat Everton 2-0.
