Porto's title chances fade

Porto lost 1-0 at Pacos de Ferreira on Sunday for its second straight defeat, virtually ruling out a title challenge to Portuguese league leader Benfica.

Diogo Jota scored an 80th-minute winner for seventh-place Pacos de Ferreira, leaving Porto 12 points behind Benfica with five rounds to go.

Sporting Lisbon is second, two points off the lead.

Benfica rallied to defeat Academica 2-1 on Saturday, while Sporting beat Maritimo 3-1.
