No idea when I can play: Eintracht's Meier

Eintracht Frankfurt top scorer Alexander Meier has no clue when he might be able to return to action after a knee operation.

His team have struggled without him and are second bottom, six points adrift of complete safety and in serious danger of being relegated with four games remaining in the Bundesliga.

"I don't know when I can play again and no one else knows," he told newspaper the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Wednesday.

"The injury must properly heal. I hope I can start running again soon."

Meier was Bundesliga top scorer last term with 19 goals and has netted 12 this season, despite being injured since early March.

Eintracht host derby rivals and European hopefuls Mainz on Sunday.
