Coopers Stadium's $53.5 million makeover is now complete.

A new pitch, large replay screens and upgraded supporter areas have the Hindmarsh venue rivalling the world's best boutique soccer stadiums.

The pitch redevelopment, complete with drought-tolerant turf and state-of-the-art drainage and irrigation systems, was the final piece of the renovation project.

"I think now we truly cement as the best playing surface," Adelaide United CEO Nathan Kosmina said.

Fans will get an enhanced match-day experience, with the installation of two large video replay screens and several smaller ones dotted around the stadium's seven bars.

Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison says it means spectators won't miss a moment of the action, even while grabbing refreshments.

The stadium will also introduce safe standing zones at the northern end, where seats will be locked upright during A-League matches.
