Muscat ignores red-hot FFA Cup favouritism
Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat says the opposition is irrelevant in Wednesday night's David and Goliath FFA Cup semi-final.
The Victory will start strong favourites when they play Hume City at AAMI Park.
The FFA also confirmed that if the Victory win, they will host the final on November 7 against Perth Glory.
But if Hume City pull off one of Australian soccer's great upsets, they will travel to Perth.
Muscat made it clear his team's status as semi-final favourites did not interest him.
"That sort of language and tone is for you guys," he said.
"What tomorrow night represents is an opportunity for us to get into a cup final.
"So the opposition - with all respect - is irrelevant, whether it's Hume City or another A-League club.
"We have to prepare well and then execute very well."
