Messi wows fans with long range goal

Lionel Messi's renowned for making the outrageous seem simple.

And after arriving in Japan for the FIFA World Club Cup, the Barcelona maestro wasted little time giving his adoring fans a moment to remember with a brilliant long range shot on goal at a training session in Yokohama.

With a large posse of screaming fans watching the Spanish giants train, Messi gave them just what they were hoping for when he unleashed a pot shot at a tiny set of training goals from over 50m away.

Latching onto the ball with his left foot, the three-time Ballon d'Or winner unleashed a curling kick like a golfer striking an iron shot onto the green, bouncing the ball three times before hitting the back of the net.

The shot was greeted with rapturous cheers from the fans and even impressed teammates, with Brazilian star Neymar posting the effort on Facebook, which he described as "incredible".

With 46 goals in 2015 it just goes to show that no matter how small the target, Messi's radar can find its range.
