Mariner Adelson out for season with injury

Central Coast youngster Jake Adelson has been ruled out for the rest of the A-League season as he recovers from surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

The 19-year-old youth team right-back, who can also play as a winger, sustained the injury when he came on as a substitute against Perth in his second senior match for the Mariners on December 12.

"He's already back into rehab and he's so fit and young that he's going to bounce back quickly," coach Tony Walmsley said.
