Man United loan Sanchez to Inter: reports

Manchester United have agreed a deal to loan Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan for the rest of the season, the PA news agency understands.

The 10-month deal will cost the Serie A outfit about PS4.5million ($A8.2m), according to some reports, but does not include an option to buy with United retaining control of the 30-year-old who still has almost three years left on his contract.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport said United were expected to contribute towards the player's wages.

Sanchez joined United from Arsenal in January 2018 in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the opposite direction but has so far failed to shine at Old Trafford.

He has only scored three Premier League goals in 32 appearances for United and his exit is no surprise.

Sanchez will link up with Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku who left United for Inter earlier this month, and scored in his Serie A debut in the club's opening round win.
