Man City star deserves gold for dive

If this kind of diving was an Olympic sport, Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic would have been a shoe-in for the gold medal.

Jovetic started the game as the hero, kicking a goal in the first half to give City the lead over Chelsea in their FA Cup match on Saturday.

But the striker turned from hero to zero when he took a dive after running into Blues defender David Luiz.

There was little in the contact, but Jovetic performed a near-perfect double reverse pike for the crowd.

The degree of difficulty aside, the referee saw through the act and handed him a yellow card (which is almost gold) for his performance.

He was promptly yanked from the field by Manuel Pellegrini and replaced by Samir Nasri who slotted home City's second goal to secure a 2-0 victory.
