Mainz signs midfielder Jose Rodriguez

Mainz has signed Spanish midfielder Jose Rodriguez from Turkish side Galatasaray.

The Bundesliga club says Rodriguez signed a four-year contract. Financial details were not given.

Rodriguez came through the Real Madrid academy and has played for Spain's junior sides.

He also played for Deportivo la Coruna on loan two seasons ago, before moving to Galatasaray.

He still had three years on his contract with the Istanbul side.
