Maclaren to start for Roos against Thais

Brisbane striker Jamie Maclaren will make his competitive international debut after being named in the Socceroos' starting XI to face Thailand in Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier.

As expected, coach Ange Postecoglou has opted for a 4-3-3 formation, with four personnel changes from last month's 1-1 draw with Japan.

Mathew Leckie and Robbie Kruse will flank Maclaren up front while Milos Degenek will start at right-back over Perth's Josh Risdon.
