Liverpool fan grabs selfie at worst possible moment

There's a time and place to take a selfie with the favourite player of your beloved club.

But following a crushing defeat in the final of a major tournament may not be one of them.

That message seems to have been lost on die-hard fan who approached Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho as he contemplated a devastating 3-1 loss to Sevilla in the Europa League decider.

The clearly upset Coutinho was still trying to comprehend the defeat when a fan wearing a Reds scarf put his arm around the Brazilian playmaker.

The two embraced, hinting at a possible friendship, when the fan asked for the unthinkable – a selfie.

To his credit, Coutinho, misery and all, reluctantly posed for the photo before having to complete the final ignominy of the vanquished foe – congratulating the celebrating conquerors.
