A luckless Turkish goalkeeper has finished off an incredible sequence of saves by scoring an unfortunate own goal during a Europa League match.

Footage from the match against Polish side Legia Warsaw shows Trabzonspor shot-stopper Fatih Ozturk pull off two world-class saves in quick succession.

Firstly, he comes off his line to thwart a Warsaw player with a save low to his left before miraculously beating the ball away after a shot from point-blank range.

It is then that a third shot from Warsaw’s Michal Zyro beats Ozturk only to hit the far post, the ball deflecting back into the goal mouth where Orlando Sa smashes another attempt at goal.

Trabzonspor defender Essaid Belkalem manages to clear Sa’s shot off the line, but only as far as a diving Ozturk, with the deflection off the goalkeeper ending up in the back of the net.

Despite his valiant effort, Ozturk is left holding his head in his hands as Legia Warsaw open the scoring.

The Polish club would go onto triumph 2-0 but fortunately for Trabzonspor and the heroic ‘keeper, both teams progressed into the knockout stages of Europe’s second-tier competition.
