Juventus form bodes well for ECL
Juventus striker Paulo Dybala is convinced his side can use an excellent start to their new Serie A campaign to launch a successful season in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Italian giants have made a perfect start to the new season and confidence is high heading into their opening Group H clash against Sevilla in Turin despite coach Massimiliano Allegri's insistence they can still improve.
Allegri said he was far from satisfied despite a comfortable win over Sassuolo on Saturday, in which in-form Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain scored two goals inside the first 10 minutes.
Dybala told Sky Italia: "With Higuain so motivated to score goals, it is so much easier. We have great forwards who can hurt Sevilla.
"I have really wanted to play in the Champions League and I think we can have a great tournament. We have the players to do so provided we continue with the mentality of last year."
Juventus and Sevilla also met in last season's Champions League, with Juve winning the home fixture 2-0 but losing the return 1-0 at the Sanchez Pizjuan in Spain.
Although not quite so spectacular, Sevilla have also made a winning start to the new season in La Liga following two consecutive Super Cup reversals to Barcelona.
Much attention has focused on new Chilean coach Jorge Sampaoli, whose fast and furious brand of soccer has already raised eyebrows after his opening game in charge saw a 6-4 win over Espanyol last month.
The excitement continued on Saturday when Sampaoli's men scored two goals in the last minute to beat Las Palmas 2-1 and maintain their unbeaten record, and club president Jose Castro remains convinced by what he has seen so far.
Sampaoli's attacking attitude has clearly rubbed off on Castro who is determined to throw caution to the wind as his three-time Europa League winners embark on another Champions League campaign.
Castro told Marca: "A draw against Juventus would be a good result but I only think about winning. I dream of winning every game, so why not this one?
