Football: Italian striker stuns with sublime spinning back-heel volley

An Italian striker may be dreaming of the big time after putting his name up in lights with one of the goals of the season – a sumptuous spinning, back-heel volley. 

Perugia forward Francesco Nicastro stole the show when he stunned rivals Ternana with a barely believable match-winner in the Serie B. 

Running into the box in the 75th minute, Nicastro turned to the sublime when he collected a cross from the right wing at full speed. 

Refusing to take a touch, Nicastro instead beat the 'keeper by hitting the ball first time with his heel during a full 360 degree spin. 

The victory pushed Perugia up into sixth position on the table, safely in the play-off zone and seven points off automatic promotion.  

But with finishing skills like that, Nicastro could expect to be playing in the Serie A next season – with or without his current teammates.
