Football: Goalkeeper makes sure of red card with violent stomp

A United Arab Emirates goalkeeper has left no doubt to the legitimacy of his red card when he followed up the send-off with a violent stomp on his original victim.

Emirates shot-stopper Ali Saqr received a straight red card when he lashed out an opponent during the Arabian Gulf League.

But not satisfied that he had properly left his mark on the game and his rival, the 27-year-old decided to literally take another swing at earning the ire of the referee.

Footage of the incident shows that before leaving the field, Saqr viciously stomps on the victim as he lays defenceless on the ground.

Saqr was already facing a suspension for the original dismissal, but after his departing shot, will likely be banned to the sidelines for a lengthy spell.
